Why Did AI aims to make AI easier to understand (AI interpretability). It'll start as an explainer and expand into a tool. I expect it to be a 5+ year project since I have a lot to learn.
I'm starting with an explainer to help teach myself how AI works and fill in the gaps.
I've been building AI products and investing in AI since 2023 when I launched one of the first AI products at the public tech company I worked at.
But it still feels like there's a significant gap in my understanding. I also believe that if I can deeply understand it, I can build products (my strength) that will help others get more out of it.
In parallel I'm also taking Math Academy courses to fill in my gaps in knowledge with the math behind AI. So far, I've been doing the math casually at a low volume, but consistently for 708 days. I will ramp up the volume with the project as a motivator.
My next goal is to map out how LLMs work in a way that I can continuously add to, ideally in a structured language.
